New Amanda Blank Video - "Might Like You Better"
The other day we got a full listen of the new full-length from Amanda Blank, the longtime affiliate of the Diplo/Santigold/Spank Rock Philly crew that's owned the internet since the twin peaks of Arular and YoYoYoYoYoYo. The album's called I Love You, a sweetly sentimental title for a showcase of booty rap that's anything but, at least on lead single "Might Like You Better." It's not far from the deep club beats and upfront hypersexual come-ons of her Bangers & Cash turn, Amanda coming upon a novel form of dispute resolution ("I might like you better / if we slept together") -- or at least borrowing a good one from Romeo Void -- to some banger beats from the Diplo/Switch/XXXChange production axis.
I Love You is out via Downtown. It features guest spots from Santigold, Spank Rock, Chuck Inglish, and old ">N.A.S.A.-collab buddy Lykke Li.
