New Blonde Redhead Video - "23"

The title track to Blonde Redhead's seventh full-length 23 sets Kazu Makino spectral, siren song to hazy shades of guitar swells and perpetual rhythm, and director Melodie McDaniel did the cut's sonic splashes justice, bathing the band in diaphanous billows of bright-lit smoke with the odd dash of color. Plus, a nature scene or two straight outta Deep Thoughs by Jack Handy. Watch it at Spinner.

I've only been lukewarm on Blonde Redhead and have only attended one show (more like dragged into it) a couple of years ago. This song alone may just change all that. I can't wait until 23 is physically tangled in my grubby paws, ready for some headphone time.
