New Electric Six Video - "Formula 409"

thumbnail icon: New Electric Six Video - "Formula 409"

Last time we wrote about Electric Six, a number of you were surprised the Detroit sextet still existed. Almost a year later, irony-clad vocalist Dick Valentine's still into his flashing codpiece and songs that mix rock anthemics and goofy lyrics. We previously brought you "Dance Pattern" from 2007's I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master. That was then. Now they have a new record on the horizon, the more subtly titled Flashy. The first video from the collection's for "Formula 409." The Anthony Garth-directed clip involves E6 being kidnapped by dinosaur/lizard-headed goons and being forced to clean up Detroit, one bottle of, yes, "Formula 409" at a time.

Flashy also includes "Gay Bar Part Two." A misstep in the sequel department? What say you E6 aficionados?

Flashy is out 10/21 on Metropolis.

I hope E6 keeps making new songs until I die. "Gay Bar Part Two" = "My favorite song, but more of it." Or so I hope.
