New Fredrik Video - "11 Years" (Stereogum Premiere)
The last time the Swedish sextet and BTW Fredrik took to their stop-motion camera aesthetic, we saw only one member in the flesh, and that member was playing a dorsal-finned guitar. The chopped animation remains the same for "11 Years," although the surreality is dialed down: We see the full crew on a train, a fantastical countryside passing them by, the scene sentimentally set for this affecting, gentle baroque pop ballad about growing apart, being let down, and reminiscing. And even while they're looking back, they're on a journey that keep them moving forward. Deep, kid.
Na Na Ni is out via The Kora Records. It's good. Here's a taste:

this is pretty.
and yes it reminds me of radiohead too, but don't most "indie" bands remind you of radiohead in some way?

I saw these guys (& gal) last night in Harrisburg, PA... They were GREAT! It was a great show with a good "vibe"...I had never heard them before, I had an idea what they might sound like from what I read about them, they were far better! It was very surreal and atmospheric in an intimate venue. The band were really nice also signing CD's talking to the crowd. If you get the chance check these guys out!
