New Justice Of The Unicorns Video - "The Dragon's Claw"
Poor bunnies being harvested to make iPods! Take it as a bleak metaphor for drainage of life and spirit in favor of the mechanical industrial complex. Or just as a cutely compelling video for the reedy and orchestral protest song "The Dragon's Claw" by Brooklyn's Justice Of The Unicorns. By animator Robert Bruce's illustrations, our doe-eyed hero runs through a barren, lifeless world and into a factory where living things are turned into PMPs, and proceeds to make like Plato trying to argue against the shadows in the Cupertino cave. When the bunnyPod cries I actually felt sorta :(

I love it. The song is so peaceful and solemn, the colors are sad, very simple animation, doesn't distract the point. I love the bird at the end, saving it means saving the simplicity of music. Isn't it the birds who share their beautiful song to the wolrd, no words needed, we all connect and bond by admiring its beauty, inspired to create our own?
