New Killers Video - "Human"
We've made a couple jokes about the Mad Max-style Dolce & Gabbana jacket Brandon Flowers has been wearing around, but turns out the feathers served a solid purpose: He wears the thing in the video for Day & Age's first single "Human," too. See that? As far as thematic tie-ins, remember the purple mosaic? You get a rural landscape as this clip's backdrop. As well as a white tiger, a panther, some strange microphone actions, tons of drama, and a bird that keeps flying overhead, likely trying to get its feathers back.
Day & Age is out 11/25 via Island.

We're sorry, this video is no longer available. WAY TO DROP THE BALL YOU GUYS
Srsly though. I'm a Killers fan and this one is a little underwhelming.
Score = -1
this is ridiculously bad. :(
Score = 0
this will be a classic in twenty years
way to be ahead of your time...?
Score = 0
are we human or are we dancing?
is that what he says?
Score = -2
I think it's "are we human? or are we dancers?" Except you can't really hear the "s" in "dancers".
Either way, it's one of the worst lyrics I've ever heard.
Score = 0
first of all..... the lyrics say "...are we human or are we DENSER......" and the music video was perfect for this song especially the location in the dessert ties in perfectly to the song.. Second of all.... the song means are are human or are we stronger than a normal specie, a.k.a humans. All u guys are losers and stop wasting your time if u don't like the video or the Killers!!!! THE KILLERS ARE F**king GREAT!!!!!!!
Score = -8
I'm so conflicted
I kinda like it, kinda hate it, will probably adore it in a few days time
But I don't like the word "dancers", especially when Mr. Flowers says it
My cat is telling me to hate it
Score = 1
DENSER. its "denser"....why in the FUCK would he ask if we're dancers? For being prententious, smug stereogum users, you all really are a bunch of fucktards.
Score = -6
Cody, you my friend just made yourself look like the biggest idiot on the block. Next time, before you decide to act like you are better than the rest of the people in the world, you should fact check the trash that you are spouting. The lyrics are indeed dancer, and yes, they make little to no sense. I find it quite humerous that you speak with such disdain for the people looking at the site that you yourself are posting on, and then so rudely judge, when in the end, it is you that is the incorrect one. If you are going to be hateful, at least be right.
Score = 4
the killers are terribad and fucking sellouts, they no longer like to offer their videos on youtube or even play songs openly to the public, i understand the artist needs money but you lose fan base when you choose to over sell your product and tell fans to pay $1.50 to watch some shitty vid on itunes. i hope they fail more then they have.
Score = -1
He actually does say "dancer". Not denser or dancerS.
It's been confirmed in interviews with Flowers. The lyrics are a reference to a Hunter S. Thomson quote saying that ämerica was raising a "generation of dancers". We are acting, not living.
Score = 2
He actually does say "dancer". Not denser or dancerS. The question is not whether we are humans....it is whether we are human. We are obviously humans, as a species, but do we possess human qualities? Dancer is used the same way.
It's been confirmed in interviews with Flowers. The lyrics are a reference to a Hunter S. Thomson quote saying that ämerica was raising a "generation of dancers". We are acting, not living.

I agree re: it's "dancer".. thanks for confirming. I figured Brandon would at some point. Everyone who thinks it's "denser" seems so ridiculously sure of themselves, when really, either word doesn't make all that much sense until put into context, or revealed the inspiration behind the lyric. Not to mention it clearly sounds like "dancer"..
Score = 2
Jeffrey M., it was not the band's decision to pull out the video from youtube, it was the record company's decison. Universal has been pulling stunts like this ever since.
I think the video is a little reminiscent of Linkin Park's What I Have Done which is not good but hey, I can't help being a fangirl -- moustache-less Brandon is all effing hot again (thank God!) albeit the ridiculous feathered jacket and the awkward dancing.
Score = 2
eh. worse than any song on sam's town. the only thing I like about this album is the cover.
Score = -1
Hot Damn these boys are not hungry for anything anymore. Except maybe for bird feathers and rock cliche's. They've believed their press and have decided to make the most forgettable Sugar Ray B'sides I've ever heard.
Score = 1
so it's not a concept video, so what! i remember even u2 doing something similar a few years back... their true fans will still eat this up and somewhere hundreds of them may be thinking i wonder if that jacket would look as cool on me?
Score = -1
tyring to recapture the sound from the first album, which is a good thing. something ambitous and different, which is a good thing.
killers rock.
Score = -1
Stuart price. no you did not........
please Stuart take it back to the underground....
Score = -1
He is most definitely saying dancer, he has stated as such on their myspace page. Its a reference to a hunter thompson quote calling our generation "dancers". So anyone that disparaged anyone else for saying its dancer and not denser - suck it!
Score = 1
I would like to find out who makes their music videos and punch them in the face.
Score = -1
Well the second video for All These Things That I've Done was directed by Anton Corbijn, director of the movie Control and other damos bands' music videos. Good luck!
Score = -1
I liked the Killers, was in the minority in that I really liked "Sam's Town" but this kinda sucks with perhaps one of the worst lyrics ever and a song that sounds like a Pet Shop Boys pastiche. I still think the album could be really good.
Score = -1
Does this video remind anyone else of those really gaudy t-shirts you can get in truck stops? You know the shirts with the "howling wolf" or the "majestic panther?"
I swear this whole video is as awkward and awful as one of those shirts...
Score = 0
i dont think this is going to be as good as sams town
Score = 0
I don't know why everyone is so negative. I do think Sam's Town is one of the best albums & this is pretty different. But, it's actually a pretty song. Simple but deep,serious not with alot of hope for the future, but with the remixy, dancy music it makes you want to move & know there is hope for the future. I can't sit still when I hear it. Brandon also said that it's about how people don't stay married or connect with each other like they used to, they're too busy thinkjing about what club to go to next. Listen to the 2nd verse. It does make sense. Also I really like this verse, It;s beautiful " Will your system be alright, when you dream of home tonight? There is no message we're receiving, let me know is your heart still beating" I agree that I don't really understand the animals in the video though.

The title of this song reminds me a little of my favorite province in China, Hunan.
Score = 0
I love me some Brandon Flowers but this song sounds like something I would hear at a gay bar while making out with a sweaty stranger.
