New Lissy Trullie Video - "Ready For The Floor"
Lissy's a former model, so she's bringing all that in this Richard Kern-directed video for her cover of Hot Chip's "Ready For The Floor": many nicely tailored outfits, emotive expressions, even straight-up laying on the floor as she sings that she's ready for it. She taps a desperation in the song you may not have realized was there before, or at the very least is desperate that you buy into her cover of it:
An MP3 of a song that is not this one:

This cover is by far a stand out on that record! Won me over and I've been hearing people play it out a lot now. Video looks cool too...Richard Kerns got a great and perverse eye which works well for her style.
Score = 1
well, she's cute....

hahaha awful
Score = -1
good version but i never expect much from a band who's first hit is a cover of another.
Score = 3
I wouldn't say this is the bands first hit...just a cool cover....at least they didn't choose like a lady gaga track and go that route. Lissys a star though and cover aside they got some other great tracks and made this hot chip song sound totally original. Self Taught Learner on the EP is also a hell of a jam.
Score = -1
this sucks... how come models and actors feel compelled to make music? stick to being a mannequin.

This kinda sounds like a song by Hot Chip!!

I think it's great.

Friends in high places does not give you fans. Her "story" is the most annoying one I've read in years.

I actually dug both songs. I'm a sucker for mid-90's female-fronted bands though. I'm late to the party "friends", what's her story?
Score = 1
This video is terrible and this lady has negative charisma. We get it, you are hot and want to be in a band. Great.
Score = -1
negative charisma? shes in a rock band not a pep squad dude.
this song kills it and i give her props because i heard this song before i hear she modeled and thought it was pretty rad regardless of any "story". anyways I don't know one band out there that wouldn't mind doing some modeling if the price was right. I know I would.

This song reminds me of teenage angst I never had...sorta like a John Hughes movie. Sort of happiness and melancholy all at once. I like it.
Score = 1
wow this is a great cover!
