New Metric Video - "Gimme Sympathy"

thumbnail icon: New Metric Video - "Gimme Sympathy"

If you're a fan, you've already streamed Metric's Fantasies. Now you can stop imaging and see one in living color. If we take the person who posted it to YouTube to heart -- and why wouldn't we? -- the video for the Beatles and Rolling Stones-referencing "Gimme Sympathy" was filmed at Toronto's Sound Academy. But regardless of the exact location, there's a lot going on, so please pay attention. The concept? A rare game of Canadian musical instruments. Get hot, etc.

Fantasies is out 4/14 via Arts & Crafts in Mexico, Last Gang in Canada, and by Metric themselves in the States. You can get more info about pre-orders and the various bundles at the band's website.

It's a pop song. It's not going to change my life like the Shins, but their new album should be a fun listen.

Stereogum baiting people with an unflattering screen grab. Save that for Katy Perry. Emily actually seems like a pretty decent human being.
