New Tegan & Sara Video - "Hell"

thumbnail icon: New Tegan & Sara Video - "Hell"

It's Tegan & Sara/Vampire Weekend Monday... Sainthood may have a bigger, more forceful band sound, but the Jamie Travis-directed video for "Hell" features the Quin sisters alone in adjoining hotel rooms with their new pompadours, a huge supply of faceless photos, a game of tug of war, a kaleidoscope, a paper fortune teller, and a modified mummy from the "Back In Your Head" shoot. You may need to watch this a couple of times.

Sainthood is out 10/27 (tomorrow).

I liked The Con, but I don't know if I like this.

There's something far too MOR and cringe-worthy about the overall sound of this yet the chorus seems really fresh and unexpected everytime i hear it.

in my opinion this song is not at all indicative to the overall feel of sainthood.

I always knew these gals could rock (and dance) out and they do it well on the new album. I for one am loving the continued evolution of their sound.

The video's weird, but the song's GREAT! I don't really mind the video either. They're trying new things and I can respect that. It's entertaining too and it makes me want to watch it more so I can figure out what the hell the idea is behind it all.
These two are evolving and I agree, they're continuing to move in a stronger direction with their music.
Two thumbs up from me!

when i first heard the song i thought 'boy this is no Con thats for sure' and why should it be? its a total different album, the song itself got better the more times i listened to it. its well catchy. i havent yet taken a great liking to the actual album though, only a few songs, but im hoping i do get my head around the rest of the tracks fairly quickly as i'll be seeing them on the 13th of nov. cant wait. the video is amazing, i love it. i'll be watching it for the next week or two.
