Ola Podrida Cover Okkervil River
It's not "Singer Songwriter" as covered by a singer songwriter, nor is it "On Tour With Zykos" as covered by Zykos, but Ola Podrida's cover of "Calling And Not Calling My Ex" provides just reason to check in with Okkervil's nearly completed The Stand Ins YouTube cover project. Ola main man David Wingo doesn't stretch the track far by trading the original's bounce for this folkier jangle, but the foot tambourine on the chorus is a new and winning touch.
