Pete Doherty, Before The Drugs

One minute of YouTube gold. Here's a clip of a pre-smack Doherty, in queue for an Oasis show, being interviewed by MTV VJ (and now Xfm DJ) Eddy Temple Morris. Pete's so witty! And a better presenter than Eddy (and Eddy knows it). Sad to see how far he's fallen, but it goes a long way to explaining the Pete appeal.

Now wear that shirt like you mean it, Pete; stop being a walking punchline and get back to delivering 'em (trousers!).

Kate Moss would have had more fun with the 15-year-old version of Pete, I guess.

My god, what the hell happened? Pete was so damn articulate before the drugs, now he just rambles and slurs when he speaks, with the occasional falling down for no reason moments.

That should be used for an anti-drug ad.

Fuck D.A.R.E., English musicians seem to be the best way to scare kids off drugs and alcohol.

Show little Jenny some before and after pics of Amy Winehouse, she'll stay away from the hooch.
