Pitchfork's 100 Awesome YouTube Music Videos
So what does the Pitchfork staff do when it's not throwing darts at a 10 point scale? Searching YouTube, obvs! Today the staff's published a pretty awesome Best Of, so be prepared to kill some time at work.
The 100 Awesome Music Videos are all clips they simply find entertaining. Don't read too much into it. Along with the preditable Amp'd fare and Wu-Tang love is some pretty funny commentary on cheese like Journey's "Separate Ways" ("The guys playing air keys had to be in on the joke, but Steve Perry looks like he's auditioning for On the Waterfront." WATCH) and Lionel Richie's "Hello" ("Every time Richie mimes 'hello' like it's the most sincere hello ever offered in the history of hellos." WATCH). And, thank God, Kidz Bop's "Since U Been Gone" ("At the 2:37 mark is the greatest moment in the history of music videos" WATCH).

i would definitely add franz ferdinand's "do you want to"! maybe "not if you were the last junkie on earth" by the dandy warhols, and the white stripes'"dead leaves and the dirty ground" as well, and certainly UNKLE's "rabbit in your headlights"! i'm surprised at the omissions.

They left off "Weapon of Choice", but then again, we all really know the greatness of that one. Same with, say "Fell in Love with a Girl"
I'd definitely put Queens of the Stone Age's "Go With the Flow" video up there, even if it did inspire all those godawful iPod ads. And I always thought the Foo Fighters videos for "Everlong" (and "Next Year" were brilliant.
Ditto for "Pumping on Your Stereo" and, while I'm partial to Franz's "Do You Want To" (I was an extra in there, I think "The Dark of the Matinee" was a better video) and, if it counts the "Crazy Bitch" (Buckcherry) fan video is brilliant.
