Rachel Trachtenburg ... Burgeoning Solo Artist

Look out Mom and Pop Trachtenburg, this Slideshow Player's branching out. Actually, Tina's right there working the felt animals, isn't she. Still, Syd Barrett has never sounded so precious. It's a poor sync, but the cute comes through.

Awwwww.

Is she related to Michelle Trachtenberg? Because Michelle is kind of hot, and that would be neat. Just sayin', is all.

Also, someone needs to turn down the ukelele, or turn up her voice. Wait, what the fuck am I talking about?

And the mike is to your RIGHT, darling.
And which Syd Barrett song? I couldn't make it out.

Years ago, after a show, Rachel Trachtenburg and I batted a balloon back and forth for awhile.

Yes, that's my most significant contact with a nationally known musician.

Although cute I hope this doesn’t mean the end for the slideshow players!

'Mountain Trip To Old Japan' is simply a work of genius. fact.

Top blog mate,

demon; Effervescing Elephant. If you did not hear that, I suspect you haven't heard it at all.

Was Dr. Funke's 100% Natural Good Time Family Band Solution from "Arrested Development" based on these guys? Is an effervescing elephant an elephant with rabies? This is all too much.

Surprised they didn't do a second take when you could actually hear the vocal. Hard to get much out of that.

Just going to have to run upstairs to see if she stole my ukelele....

Actually, it appears I don't have to, hers stays in tune for more than thirty seconds.

How come it's out of synch? It's not on the YouTube page. re: microphones and MNN-- ask Phil. That was two takes fitted together, and I didn't get to hear how they were mixing the sound till almost two weeks after it was shot. I sat on the floor and shot the felt animals with a mini dv while they shot the rest with TV cameras, editing it live. I had to try edit it from their edits plus my mini-DV and do the opening titles. I don't agree with most of their choices of shots or when to cut but editing live is the hardest way to do it so I'm not disrespecting their effort. Phil's talking about maybe doing it again if Rachel is into it, with better sound somehow. I don't know if that will involve me in any way or not. The checkerphil channel on YouTube has lots more Trachtenburg stuff, plus there are new Trachtenburg Family videos being created even as we speak.

Lolita.

I'd hit it.

But then I'd read her poetry.

I'm going to hell, I know.
