Robyn Performs Live For An Empty AOL Studio, Kicks Ass

Not everyone's come around to Robyn (except you, of course, Perez). Maybe you just need it stripped down some? You know, boiled to the essentials, i.e. Robyn's voice, hooks ... and hair. Bingo: AOL is currently streaming the Robyn Sessions, six streamlined songs -- minus the marching band -- and a few Q&A's. First up: "Konichiwa," which is yours for the enjoying if you can get beyond the infinite imgs of Robyn's otherwise lovely mug below (why are you trying to make us hate her face, AOL)?

Then there's a first-time-ever-taping of "Show Me Love." Stripped down, Highline style.

More faces.

Watch the rest of the session here, bitches.

i'm really starting to wonder how much you guys get paid to plug this girl time and time again. it's starting to become a bit annoying.

Agreed with the above - Stereogum's ongoing love for this girl is laughable. She sucks.

Someone should videotape themselves punching Mario in his meth-scarred face. You could be a YouTube hero!

I so love Robyn. Never mind the pseudo-intellecto snobs.

All of you that are hating just don't want to admit that someone from that 90s Britney burst of a pop scene era is actually worthy of your "time" and "consideration" as a viable "musician."

I love her.

I have to admit, something about Robyn is a huge turn-off. Probably in the dress sense and the weird hair. But her music is growing on me, and she's definitely streets ahead of much of the other crap out there.

i don't get it either... all the love for her and yet most of you motherfuckers won't spend an ounce of attention on saint etienne or roisin. comedy of the highest order.

Kind of presumptuous primeau. I love Saint Etienne, Roisin and Robyn and have done since the beginnings of all of their careers - I don't see what relevance that has to anything. Your ever-so-casual mention of hipster-approved, electro-dance artists does not convey upon you some sort of "music elite" status.

if they are so hipster approved, why did i accuse otherwise?

Because you're projecting, primeau.

Oooh, I remember Robyn. I liked her. Looking back, she reminds me of a non-annoying version of Pink. :D

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen
