'Roo Remainders: Lily Allen Brings "LDN" To TN

Better late than never, we have a couple of 'Roo performance clips to keep your mind off your work today, the first being of Jäeger lovin' Lily. All these months after her first US show, she gets even more adorable and comfy in her frock 'n' trainers stage strutting. You can be drunk on stage with just 11 songs to your name all you want, Lily. We take it back (for now).

Love that dangling Elph.

In the interests of proper German and pedantry, I feel compelled to point out that Jägermeister is spelled with the umlaut (Jägermeister) or the 'e' (Jaegermeister), but not both.

How is it pronounced, Herr Taterman?

I'm so glad you asked! J is a y sound; the first vowel is like a cross between yeah and yay (I can't really think of an English equivalent), and long since it doesn't precede a double consonant; then there's a guh sound; then my; then stuh. So, Yeh' guh my stuh. Deutsch macht Spaß!

I'm mad at Bonnaroo for scheduling her at the same time as The Roots. I decided on The Roots because I figured Lily Allen would be a drunk train wreck. The Roots were still amazing but I wish I could have seen both.

it bothers me when she wears white sneakers like that.

it's like she's 46 years old and wears them because they're the most comfortable thing to walk around K-mart in.

Frankly, being "toasted" took away her edge for a sharper performance and made already light-weight material sound even thinner. For my money Regina Spektor turned in a better performance and Feist made the large venue work for her.

Go the fuck away, Lily. And stop sucking her proverbial cock, Stereogum. Her music is fine, but she's a waste of fame.

I think the sneakers are an attempt to cover up the cankles...and it's not working.

Wow; I thought this was Stereogum; didn't realize I'd stumbled into a catty corner on Gawker. Ever see a picture of Janis Joplin naked? She wasn't exactly Maxim material. And so what?
I thought this site was about music, not new bitchy ways to call girls fat.

My video doesn't do the audio justice. It sounded fine in person. I still think she's adorable.

Who cares what Lily Allen looks like?

Who cares about Lily Allen. Watching her is like watching a little girl perform her first recital. She could perform live in my living room and I would fall asleep.

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen
