Ryan Adams Extends Sleazy Handshake, DJ Reggie

It's difficult keeping up with genre bender funny man Ryan Adams. He was recently spotted on Letterman's desk, growling in a paper mask elsewhere, and last week supplied a new dose of DJ Reggie's space rap. Reg must've recognized he had a good flow, because he's back with "I Like You (You Rock)," the best love rap since LL's "I Need Love." Not really, but still.

Wearing that same hat, but chomping on some chow, Reggie also has himself a talk show.

What did Ryan do before YouTube was invented? Saving the best for last, over at RySpace, you'll find Adams getting all Axl on the upbeat "Love Woman," mid-tempo "Mr. Smartypants," and near power-balladic "Sexual Fantasy," a trio of tunes from his metal project, Sleazy Handshake's Ted Nugent-y titled Lick This (dig the play on words?).

Changing pace and hair length, the video for "Follow The Lights" is gonna pop up Thursday night on October Road, following Grey's Anatomy. It includes Adams with his Cardinals, and was filmed on the October Road set. Um, anyone have an idea what that set looks like?

I'm still pissed that he stormed off the stage after 45 minutes when I saw him in Minneapolis in September. That makes twice in a row that I've traveled to Minneapolis to see him throw a hissy fit on stage. And October Road blows.

Oh yeah, fuck the Cardinal Cult and "b" too. I don't give a damn if every time you see him he gets you stoned and gives you a few bucks on the way out to grab dinner on the way home. Shit sucked when I saw him. Google it, I'm not making it up. There was a story about it on CNN ferchrissakes. I love the dude. I never said I was going to stop seeing him, although I'm sure he'd be thrilled to know you hope people do. And the FIRST time I saw him in Minneapolis it was killer. My favorite RA bootleg is from Minneapolis even. But sorry, the last couple times blew he played there it blew. So yeah, I will be pissed, thanks. But I'll get over it. And you'll still be a dork. Fucking Cardinal Cult. Hilarious.
