Sonny Jim's Summer Jam: Can't Stop Listening To "Can't Stop Moving"

Aside from apparently being on Rough Trade and having much love for the Jackson 5, we know precious little about Sonny Jim -- though we do know that this Avalanche-y dance blast just went to the top of Stereogum's Summer Jamz! playlist.

A YouTube commenter says "The CRAZY of the year"? Maybe! Play at your next BBQ/pool party and test its merit. (Alcohol will help.) We're into June, school's just about out, let's get this summer-song playlist going. What you got?

I really think if the Hold Steady put together a nice video for 'Massive Nights' it could be huge.

That's bastardizing to compare an uncomplicated mix like this to the Avalanches -- those guys made a 60 minute ALBUM out of only samples.

This song is mostly just a couple Jackson 5 vocals mixed with the instrumental to Beats International's (Fatboy Slim's '90-91 moniker) "Theme From The Deerstalker".

Yeah, this is alright but I can't really see it taking off like 'Crazy' or 'D.A.N.C.E.'

i love it. he's got a couple more free downloads on his last.fm page but they aren't quite the party jam material as this is:

Summer jamz: So Fucking Disco by Pase Rock, Hotdog by SMD, and Boyz by M.I.A.

not to say they are quintessential, just 3 that come to mind...
