Stephen Colbert Vs. Willie Nelson: "It's Go Time, Pigtails"
Yep, Stephen Colbert once again is taking on a beloved music artist, but the catalyst for confrontation this time is Ben & Jerry's decision to release not one but TWO celebrity ice cream flavors this year: Colbert's Americone Dream, and Willie Nelson's Country Peach Cobbler. " I'm the celebrity this year," Colbert scoffed. Or maybe he's salty 'cause Colbert Cobbler would've made a good-looking follow-up flavor. Here's some video background on Stephen's decision to throw down the gauntlet.
Sure it's a devious way to advertise his flavor, but with lines like "What's in it, shredded tax forms and hash?," we submit to his campaign. Stephen's invited Willie to the show, where he'll appear tonight to defend his honor and, probably, the recall of 250,000 pints of Chilly Willie due to mislabeled ingredients (forgot to list "wheat"!).
