Stevie Nicks Covers Dave Matthews Band

Over the weekend, while others haunted CMJ, Steve Nicks leant her distinctively haunting warble to Dave Matthews's "Crash Into Me" during her set at the Rosemont Theatre outside of Chicago.

Funny the audience cheers each time the gold dust woman arrives at the "crash into" part ... maybe they think she's finally done? Whatever, it adds a tiny dynamic to a boring rendition of an already dewy, saccharine tune. To give Stevie the benefit of considerable doubt, she does say it's the first time they've done it. That, and she's still one of the coolest Wiccan MILFs we know.

It's funny to me that as his band becomes less and less relevant to anyone he seems to be raising his profile. Did anyone else read the P4K article that said that Matthew's record label might be putting out In Rainbows in the US?

I'm not a person to normally say any piece of music is bad, but this rendition is god awful. And I usually like most cover songs.
