The Police Retire Again

thubmnail icon: The Police Retire Again

Well, it's over. The much discussed Police reunion tour has seen its last show, but not before making a couple of bucks (358,825,665 of 'em, third highest all-time). Along the way they courted Feist, took their shirts off, and enslaved our unborn children. Last night's stop at MSG was The Last Stop, being for the benefit of PBS, full of little bits of unexpectedness (a "Purple Haze" cover, the Sumner daughters dancing onstage) and fully expectedness (Sting's shirt came off). Head to Billboard.com for a fairly exhaustive report from show last. But if you want the reunion's final moments onstage, they looked and sounded like this:

That's all folks. Although Andy would consider unretiring in a few years.

It often strikes me that the Police sound an awful lot like a reggae band.

what a great show. very bittersweet. they were definitely playing their hearts out on a lot of songs. driven to tears stands out. sting getting shaved and pampered during the 1st encore break was great.

It often strikes me that Panic At the Disco sound an awful lot like an emo band.
