Theremins: We Think They're Crazy
Never wanted one of these touchless instruments more than after watching it get all Cee-Lo here, but of course it's gonna sound awesome when it's being played by an impeccably postured robot.

I've wanted one of those things since I first saw Jon Spencer rock the theremin, but I need more closet space first I think.

Neat, neat, neat. But also a reminder how very, very sick I am of that song.

there's a cheap kit one made by paia, but it is a cheap kit. moog is the clearly the best one. they also have books on how to use the thing, which will all teach you that perfect posture is essential.

props to this dude, former oboist though he may be. theremin is really, really, really difficult to play so precisely.

check out The Octopus Project. Yvonne does quite a job with said instrument.

Randy here, theremin player from the video. I just found this blog through google. I just wanted to clear something up. I played bassoon, not oboe. They're from the same family of double reeded instruments, but definitely not the same instrument. For some reason people get these two confused.
