Tom Waits Calls A Press Conference For His Glitter And Doom Tour

thumbnail icon: Tom Waits Calls A Press Conference For His Glitter And Doom Tour

Lately we've seen and heard Scarlett singing Tom Waits more than Tom singing Tom Waits, so it was exciting to witness the man opening his own mouth in this press conference for his summer Glitter And Doom tour. The reporters are pretty damn excited, too. During the Q&A, he weaves a path from Christ and the Magi to constellations and the mysterious acronym "PEHDTSCKJMBA." What's it mean? Well, for starters, "People envy happiness dogs though..." And them some.

Good DJing, Tom. You should already have the dates memorized, but here goes:

06/17 - Phoenix, AZ @ Orpheum
06/18 - Phoenix, AZ @ Orpheum
06/20 - El Paso, TX @ Plaza
06/22 - Houston, TX @ Jones Hall
06/23 - Dallas, TX @ Palladium
06/25 - Tulsa, OK @ Brady Theatre
06/26 - St. Louis, MO @ Fox Theatre
06/28 - Columbus, OH @ Ohio Theatre
06/29 - Knoxville, TN @ Civic Theatre
07/01 - Jacksonville, FL @ Moran Theatre
07/02 - Mobile, AL @ Saenger Theatre
07/03 - Birmingham, AL @ Alabama Theatre

Stay abreast of things at his site.

I live in Dallas! And I'll be in Seattle that weekend.

Seriously, who expects THAT? I'm missing an amazing concert because I'm in Seattle instead of Dallas.
