Weirdo Ripper

The "Oxford Comma" response was a pretty good start ("it would be funny if the train would run him over 'cause this song sucks," never forget), but with this review of "Eraser" it's official: We've found the Sexman of Music Video Review. More now please.

(via noagela.blogspot.com)

She & Him video on FN'MTV this Friday. I hope it's got a surreal concept and features lots of objects that could inflict errant harm, don't you New Sexman? (He's gonna go into pun overload.)

Oh MTV...thank you thank you thank you...you've given me a reason to love indie again...you feature it on FNMTV and let the masses have at it...it honestly makes me happy to see the total opposite of a hipster watch and listen to what most of us bicker about each week here on stereogum...makes me realize how refreshing the most simple and honest of opinions are far more interesting to hear then the "7.7" critical reviews that P4K holds over our heads.

genius review. I loved this video but the song is far from my favorite on the record. I think I liked the other video for Keechie more. It won't be long before these dudes are hired to score the next PT Anderson movie.

I don't think he's reading off paper...seems like he might be watching the video on a screen off-camera. Does anyone else think he sounds like Mr. Robinson of SNL fame?

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...

Premature Evaluation: of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping

Skeletal Lamping is anything but skeletal. When we took a close listen to album closer "Id Engager" we mentioned it wasn't the strangest, most ambitious, or best tune on of Montreal's new one, but after absorbing the other 14 tracks,...
