Wes Anderson's Hotel Chevalier Features Peter Sarstedt, Natalie Portman Naked
The 13-minute short film Hotel Chevalier is a prologue to Wes Anderson's forthcoming Darjeeling Limited (early buzz is good, supposedly a return to form post-Life Aquatic). We meet Jason Schwartzman in a Paris hotel. He orders a grilled cheese from room service. Natalie Portman shows up and brushes her teeth. The two make passionate love (EDIT: no, they don't.). Yes, our favorite rapper does her first nude scene. Of course, we're blogging about it 'cause the background song is Peter Sarstedt's classic "Where Do You Go To My Lovely. Yep, beautiful song.
So you can download the arty (or should we say quirky?) short free on iTunes.
Or watch it via vid embed below. Ass-men (and -women), de rien. (NSFW, etc.) The nudity is tame, tastleful, and not full frontal (sorry, fanboys). But, like we said, you get to hear a lot of Sarstedt's beautiful UK chart-topper from '69.
Peruse and/or purchase The Darjeeling Limited soundtrack on iTunes here. No Bowie covers, but a lot of Kinks.

this blog is for sexist, sad men. Why can't I read a decent MUSIC blog without there being references to sex tapes and sex scenes in movies? you people haven't seen a naked women before? only on your computers I guess? no matter how'indie' you people think you are, you are just like every other mainstream pop culture pariah.

This is a disgusting lie. I am dissapointed in you stereogum.

@ Lucy
It's Natalie Portman. She introduced the world to the Shins so obviously music fans want to see her ass.
But let's be equal opportunity about this:

i think this is just coz i'm older... i still get squeamish watching natalie portman doing anything remotely sexy. the girl is sexy as all get-out but to me i still think of her as that little kid in leon.
(and is jason schwartzman shorter than natalie, or are they the same height?)
oh... and i thought the clip was pretty boring. not so sure if i want to watch the 'darleeling ltd.' now.

i'm bummed (pun intended?) about the nudity. i was expecting full on naked natalie.
this'll do.

When? Where? I saw nothing. I saw a naked Natalie kissing a clothed Jason. I saw no 'lovemaking'.
Wes Anderson movies are dreadfully boring.

they did not have sex!!

I downloaded this on iTunes and I wasn't really impressed. It just seems like a whole lot of mostly nothing. Natalie does appear nude, but it's really nothing worth getting excited over.
I fear that Stereogum is entering that "lowest common denominator" area where they start using sex to sell the blog at every possible opportunity. This blog is about as indie-music-minded as Perez Hilton is tasteful and classy.

Dirty Australian here who would like a new upload/vid link? Please?

Why cant we see a naked Jason Schwartzman?! He's totally cute.

the other matthew: i disagree with you on every point. first, naked natalie is totally awesome. second, what reason do you have to think that stereogum is using sex to "sell" (?) the blog? this and the meg post? big fucking deal. they both relate to indie goings-on; that's why they're relevant.

Wow what a great post this was... I must first say that I am a huge fan of wes anderson. But the first thing I read was that quirky article tagged. It basically opened my eyes to why I appreciate wes anderson and all of this 'indie generation X humor.' It breaks it down completely and is an extremely enlightening article.
After reading the article I watched the clip and loved every second of it. beautifully shot, beautiful actors, just a completely engaging 12 minutes. It reminded me of a relationship I was in once so maybe thats why it resonated with me so much. After reading the article I thought that my new hindsight toward viewing anderson films would change but for some reason, no. Thanks stereogum!

I'm sorry to add another slice of disappointment pie to the festival of dashed hopes, but I'm afraid that's a naked Wes Anderson. Look at her wrists, and you can see little marks of the exact kind made by a slightly-too-tight three-button corduroy blazer sleeve.
