Wilco & Feist Do "You & I" Live In L.A.

thumbnail icon: Wilco & Feist Do "You & I" Live In L.A.

First Feist joined Grizzly Bear and her old Broken Social Scene pals in Toronto. Now, continuing her goodwill mission, she's ventured all the way to Los Angeles to reprise her Wilco (The Album) contribution "You & I." (Thanks for the tip, Ed.) The performance took place last night (6/25) during the final slot of Wilco's sold-out Wiltern Theatre stand. As Tweedy notes, it's the first time they've performed the song outside the studio with all its "computers and stuff." The crowd is very stoked about this fact, as well as the duet that follows.

Wilco (The Album) is out 6/30 via Nonesuch. The tour continues, with our without Feist.

Again these rednecks get hyped around here. They are way pass their prime but at least Feist is there. I just hope they don't contaminate her with their version of dad rock. One hit wonder band.

um, What's their one hit? I didn't know they had one; just a steady stream of solid, interesting and moving albums.

I would have never in a million years dreamed up that pairing, but Tweedy and Feist sound so good together.

aw you guys that was cute.

and sure wilco's not so adventurous as they once were but i don't really feel like faulting them for it, because the songs are still good.

i didnt think it was possible, but your comment was even more boring than sky blue sky and wilco (the album).

I love Wilco and Feist--this song they have together is gorgeous. Hey, if you like Wilco, you'll probably like Pete Yorn's music too. His new song "Don't Wanna Cry" reminds me of Wilco, it's great.

lol Somehow I feel I'm the only person who understands this joke. I'm not sure if you can hear him on "You Haven't Done Nothin'" either.
