Yeasayer Perform Conan's "Favorite Song In A Long Time"

Yeasayer made the long commute from Brooklyn to 30 Rock on Friday night, coming armed with background singers, new agey mysticism, and let's face it, lots of swagger. "2080"'s the tune they deemed fit for their live national television debut, definitely the right choice in Conan's eyes; at the show's open his introduction betrayed not having a clue who they were, but by the end -- well you read the post headline. They bring a little prop-flair to the stage, but we wouldn't expect any less from set directors. Such a great song, so very Police circa '82. Best part: No picket lines were crossed during the making of this movie.

Awesome. All Hour Cymbals is out via We Are Free. European friends, they're coming to you next, kicking off a ten-country tour tomorrow. Dates after the jump.

Makes me all that more pissed off that I missed their show a few ago (MGMT, not so much).

The songs are there, the flair is there, but when I saw them w/ MGMT a couple of weeks ago, the vocals weren't quite...well... they were a bit annoying, compared to the recordings. Still a good show, tho.

Man, caught these guys a couple of weeks ago with MGMT, but no way did they rock near that hard. Was a little disappointed after seeing them live, but that was damn good.
