Wanksta Rubbers

For gangsta lovers! 50 Cent is from the hood, so he knows all about protection. ABC News reports:

The heavily diversified rapper 50 Cent is coming out with a line of condoms.

"The kids become immune when you constantly beat them over the head -- read a book, read a book," the rap star tells the New York Post.

"We have to be a little more creative about it. It's the same with safe sex. As opposed to being part of a safe-sex campaign, I'm going to make condoms and donate a part of the proceeds to HIV awareness."

...

No word yet on how 50 Cent's new line of condoms will be distributed, or when they'll hit the market.

Between Fiddy's latex and Prince's Purple Rain Coats, this will bring our celebrity condom collection to ... zero.

I approve, but Fitty is prone to having holes in him so he may not be the best sponsor for condoms.

This could sound insincere but it's not: who would have thought that the same guy who gave us "Candy Shop" would also become, in his own way, a literacy and safe sex advocate. Not me, but good for him.

I'll stick with my Prince-issued, Purple Raincoats, thank you very much.

hiv awareness donations from a guy who said "I don't like gay people around me, because I'm not comfortable with what their thoughts are"? interesting.

Maybe they'll cost 50 Cents.

OR... Will they say 50 Cent on them? Because that would have different connotations when applied to sex.

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...
