Weezer Interface With Kenny G, Chamillionaire, Sara Bareilles

thubmnail icon: Weezer Interface With Kenny G, Chamillionaire, Sara Bareilles

Weezer aren't afraid of unlikely collaborations. If you recall, Rivers arrived at our Decomposed session with the Dartmouth Aires, a cowboy flautist, percussionists from Aklaline Trio and Yellowcard, and Jermaine Dupri. Now, a day after we saw Odette Yustman try to pull the guys apart in "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" comes news about a Spinner Interface session they did with Chamillionaire, Sara Bareilles and, yup, Kenny G. The smooth jazz icon added a saxophone solo to "I'm Your Daddy," though he'd never really heard of the band before that moment:

I don't know anything about Weezer -- nothing. I've heard the name, but I never knew any of their songs [except] some song about a sweater ... with the wool coming apart?

Coy. For his part, Chamillionaire stepped in on "Can't Stop Partying," which Cuomo co-wrote with Jermaine Dupri. (The album version includes Lil Wayne, who was otherwise preoccupied.) An acoustic cover of Green Day's "Brain Stew" was also birthed during the five-song session. The videos don't go live until next month, but you'll find a gallery and more info at Spinner.

In the meantime...

Who the hell is ever going to listen to this shit? I'm starting to believe that this music is being made for shock value and not for the sake of music. Unless your a 13 your old girl or you never got over the 90's crappy radio hits, you know this is going to be horrible

In the Mean time listen to Matt Sharp (ex-weezers) band The Rentals new EP's, its good and doesn't sound like it was intended for 7th graders and housewifes watching disney channel (Miley Cyrus)

Covering Weezer on this website is akin to it covering Candlebox in 2002.

Please stop wasting my page-load bandwidth.

They're just having a laugh that's all. Don't you remember that this is a fun band? And Freddo why use your precious bandwidth on hating on a band?
