Weezy Guests On Weezer LP It's true, Lil Wayne contributed a verse to "Can't Stop Partying," which you'll recall RC co-wrote with Jermaine Dupri. The results? "[I]t sounds so dark, like he was gonna get shot or something when he walks out of the studio." There's more from Rivers at MTV.

This put a such a big smile on my face... even though it has a good chance of being terrible. At least the Alone II version is fantastic and we'll always have that.

I always thought you, Weezer, would redeem yourself and have an ultimate moment of glory. I now know this dream is dead. RIP Weezer Dreams

No, no, you see, ON PAPER this Weezer album sounds absolutely terrible, right?! The name, the album cover with that airborne dog, all the song titles, this cameo from Lil Wayne, this is all terrible on paper, right, but that's why Rivers is going to surprise us all with the best set of songs he's written since "Pinkerton!" You guys just wait, this one is going to be amazing and is going to defy all expectations. We're going to have to redefine "music" to be able to even comprehend what he has in store for us. You wait!

Rivers is just trying to kill irony in pop music once and for all.
