"We're The Best Fucking Band In The World!"

Nope, not B. Flow's latest bit of verbal diarrhea ('cause that would be as stupid as likening himself to Beethove ... oh, never mind). This bit of comical conceit comes from Jet's drummer, the quotable Chris Cester, at the band's LA show last Thursday (via Reuters). "And here's the proof," he added. And then they played this:

Jet - "Holiday" (MP3)

And everybody laughed.

LOL.

Pretty much the best review of the band ever:

OMG Jet are so shit.

But to be fair, i'm surprised they were determined enough to try again by releasing more than one record. Hmm.

It's sort of cute how they think people still care about them. Mostly sad, but sort of cute.

Pitchfork review was lame. As much as Jet sucks (and they do suck, no doubt about that) Pitchfork's attempt at cleverness was depressing. Plus, Tiny Mix Tapes had done a much funnier version of the same joke on the Nine Inch Nails "With Teeth" review.
For some reason Jet doesn't bother me that much...probably cause they've been strong supporters of one of the most underrated bands ever, Sloan.

i guess john lennon was the only guy who could get away with saying shit like that. i thought jet's second album was fun, but nothing ground breaking whatsoever.
