Fall Out Boy Vs. Kidz Bop

I realize that for someone who doesn't like Fall Out Boy, I sure do blog about them a lot. Fortunately this time it's not about nudie Sidekick photos. Pete Wentz posts on falloutboyrock.com (via MTVNews):

"I've gotten one million e-mails and IMs about 'Dance, Dance' being on Kidz Bop. Here's the answer: We don't know what's going on, because they can use a song without your permission. However, I can't imagine some young kids singing 'crawling into bed with me' and all. If they change the lyrics, I believe they need to get permission. We're looking into it."
Razor & Tie have since removed the song from the forthcoming 10th volume of its popular joycore comp.

Sucks. I wanted to see that "Since You Been Gone" kid dance to it.

I THOUGHT FALL OUT BOY WAS HIPSTER. I'M DOING A HIPSTER CHICK. ANYBODY KNOW ANY HIPSTER GROUPS THAT ARE PRO-WAR LIKE GODSMACK OR ARE THEY ALL HIPPIES?

Dammit, when I first saw that subject line I thought it was going to be a poll on which one was more annoying.... or a scheduled fight to the death between them. Because that's definitely something I'd like to see. No matter who lost, we, the listening public, would win.

That kid rules. But a lot of crap to get to his part. However I almost convinced myself that could be a Flaming Lips show. Not to mention that lead singer girl is stealing some of Axl's best moves!

Honestly, I don't think they change the lyrics at all. Ciara's "One Two Step" was on one of the compilations, and there's few things creepier than what sounds like adolescent girls singing 'goodies make the boys jump on it.'

Ummm...

That kid can kick all of Fall Out Boys asses at the same time, even if they had weapons. He is the Asian Chuck Norris.
