Go Home GW

Moby has some words for Dubya...

dear president bush,
stay out of new york.
you don't like us and we don't like you.
90% of us voted for john kerry in the last election. we don't trust you, and we believe, based on your record, that you've been a terrible president.
you're supposed to come to new york city today.
you're not welcome here.
you only come to new york city when you need to bolster your poll numbers.
you came here after 9-11 even though you ignored warnings of terrorist attacks and cut funding to anti-terrorist programs.
you came here for the rnc convention even though your policies have made america less safe.
you are not welcome in nyc.
go back to texas where you can cut wood for the tv cameras.
or go back to washington d.c where you can watch dick cheney run the country.
you are a liar.
you are inept.
you are probably the worst president that the united states has ever had to endure.
you are not welcome in nyc.
we are not your cheap whore, to use whenever your poll numbers are in the toilet.
we are not your crappy prop, to use when you're worried that you might have to deal with the consequences of your failed policies.
you suck, and we don't want you here.
everything you've done has gone wrong. you are in the pocket of the oil and defense industries, and the poor idiots on the religious right actually sometimes believe that you care about them and their agenda.
you only believe in issues that will keep your corporate backers happy.
you are an awful, inept, corrupt, and tragically incompetent president.
and i'm sorry that you've chosen to come to new york city on 9-11.
we didn't vote for you and we're not in any way happy that you're here.
go home, gw, and let us just get on with living our lives in the city that was attacked
due to your pre 9-11 ineptitude and incomptetence.
-moby
And Suri Cruise's VF spread? Fucking grotesque.

He is a tool. And a self-righteous prick. And a completely derivative musician.

But I kinda agree with him here.

I'm a bit surprised Moby's entries are written to the level of a 13 year old's livejournal. In the interviews I've seen, he always seemed more articulate than that.

That said - I feel the same way about Bush's photo-opportunistic approaches to tragedy, negligent policies, and general ineptitude.

Moby and Rosie O'Donnell are the two worst bloggers of all time ever in the entire universe.

When he or anyone else says something thing as vague as "cut funding to anti-terrorist programs", I want to scream and stab and molest animals. Be specific, you solipsistic douchebag. You're so close to being right or maybe just inteligible.

I'm not from NYC, but if I were, I'd be having a hissy fit if an assclown like Moby was speaking for me.

Mission of Burma should rape him with a splintery baseball bat and shove ground chuck down his throat.

When Moby speaks of politics, that's when I reach for my revolver.

"People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
cause we are all made of stars." -Moby

"Americans are a free people, who know that freedom is the right of every person and the future of every nation. The liberty we prize is not America's gift to the world; it is God's gift to humanity." Bush

I don't really even understand what Moby means by "we are all made of stars." But I think he is wrong, mostly because no one is made of stars( check out wikipedia.org's article on stars[turns out no one is even big enough to contain a single star, let alone be "made of" them])
On the other hand, Bush's very direct criticism of those who think our battle against tyranny and despotism is a battle to spread America's "social construct" of liberty, and not a freedom that is as real as physical revelation itself, is spot on. If only Moby were brave (or articulate) enough to speak out against such humanitarian tragedies. Dissent is one thing; Monday morning quarterback from the self-appointed voice of New York is Bush League Moby. Pun sooo intended.

Annabanana - that would be funny if it weren't for the fact that the bald one writes every journal entry in this same manner.
Is there some rule that celebrities must write their blogs with lowercase letters using lines and stanzas as if they're free verse? Flea, Thom Yorke, Rosie O Donnell, Moby, etc.
And wasn't Bush in NYC on Sunday? Wow, he must've missed Moby's blog entry or he would've surely stayed away.

I can't decide if i hate hardcore liberal celebrities more or less than redneck conservatives. Oh wait, I can in a heartbeat, and it's not the conservatives. Most of my problem with liberal (read: communist) idiots like Moby, Michael Moore, Ben Affleck, Tim Robbins et. Hollywood, is that they DONT FUCKING SHUT THE HELL UP. Kery lost, get fucking over it, and go away. Christ, at least I don't have to deal with the conservatives on a daily basis.

I like how Moby speaks for everyone who has EVER lived in the USA when he states that GW is the WORST president this country has EVER had to endure. I think he would speak differently if he had to suffer through Ulysses S. Grant as President.

I'm glad Moby is over 200 years old and wise enough to speak on such a subject...

Stuff like this just makes me hate celebrity politicos more. Liberal, conservative, it doesn't fucking matter, everyone who isn't suspicious of politics in general is a fucking idiot. He's right that Bush uses NYC as a prop to boost his poll numbers, and if he had left his rant at that, I'd have agreed with him.

As fucking usual though he has no idea what he's talking about and goes on to blame Bush for 9/11, when it's pretty clear that the events of 9/11 are jointly the fault of every administration since at least Carter and probably earlier. As I like to say, if you don't know what you're talking about, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I caught my breath while reading, "or go back to washington d.c where you can watch dick". Ah, the perils of writing in lower caps.

I'm not American so I feel like I can't pass any judgement here, but personally, I wish people would just spend this day thinking of the many people who lost their lives, rather than using (or abusing) it to send some political message, and for me that includes both Moby and Dubya.

Does Moby still record music? It's been a while since I saw a Dodge commercial set to his pussified DJ Shadow-for-wealthy-40-year-old-moderate-liberals beats. But, that said, Bush is responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. So it kind of strikes me as odd that there's more comments here saying "Fuck Moby" than "Fuck Bush." Maybe cause the topic's about Moby, and I'm fucking stupid. That could very well be the case. But I'm going to post this anyway.

While Bush may be responsible for thousands of deaths, he may also be responsible for millions of us still being alive and capable of waging a war against people that don't want us around to watch our children grow up. On the other hand, Moby sucks.

Typical celebrity drama queen playing pretend in his liberal fairyland of bullshit. The only thing Moby was ever good for was peaking with the X-Files; you know when they played that "My Weakness" song when Mulder saw his sister. Both parties went down after that.

And, yes, Bush is solely responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. The radical Muslim terrorists don't really count. Perfectly logical.
