Jay-Z Too Casual

Lizzy from Rolling Stone has an unusual shoe scoop:

First Cam’ron released his Jay-Z dis track, “You Got It” in which he rapped, “How’s the king of New York rocking sandals with jeans and he 42 years old?” And now DMX has called out Jay-Z for wearing sandals, and blames Beyonce. “The flip-flops - he’s just not the same,” DMX told Vibe magazine. “It’s Beyoncé. He’s a sucker for love.” Then DMX goes into his own, rather eccentric, shoe-wearing habits. “Yo, no matter how much vacation I’m on - we been to St. Thomas, Bahamas, all the little islands - I don’t wear no flip-flops” DMX says. “I’m never that comfortable, not even in my own house.”
Hip-hop Vs. Flip-flops? Have rappers finally run out of disses?

UPDATE: Reader Gaurav sent this along. Consider it the theme song to the post.

So, what next? Will DMX criticise Puffy for wearing white after Labor Day?

Cam'ron and DMX are gonna talk? The dudes who pimp pink chincilla coats and fucking dog clothes, respectively? Jigga could wear tie-dye and still own these fuckers.

I love it! He's slamming Jay-Z for wearing some lousy flip-flops but he's the only rapper I can think of that wears PINK clothing and drives PINK cars.... now that's classic

I guess cause they can't diss him for his rapping, seeing as how he's better than both of them put together.

Jigga has more shoe deals and clothing lines than DMX and Killa put together.

I have to side with DMX on this one. Flip-flops are not a valid fashion statement.

Geez, I didn't know DMX was such a Republican. You'd think that he could just leave John Kerry alone.

I'm convinced that the existence of Cam'ron is just an elaborate hoax, and he's not actually a real rapper. He might actually be Lonelygirl15.
