Mark Ronson Feels The Need To Respond To Noel Gallagher Got room for more beef? It is a statistical fact that one of every three music flame wars involves Noel Gallagher. In support of this postulate, please enjoy Mark Ronson's retort to Noel's "learn three chords ... and go write a tune" slam. (Yes, it involves "Jockin' Jay-Z." Because Mark is friends with him, because Mark is friends with everybody. Except Noel.)

I hate being an Oasis fan in this situation for the fact I like both Mark Ronson and Oasis. Though Noel's actual comments weren't that bad.

Beef is intense! Hopefully Noel will release a dis track aimed at Mark which will inspire another response which will further fuel this foolishness and boost each of their record sales while we, the public, encourage them by lapping it up! Everyone wins (except anyone)!!!

I would pay hard earned moneys for 'Champaign Super Hova'
But this guy (Ronson) sounds like a whiny bitch. 'Oh yeah? Well, at least I'm not . . . '
I've had better arguments with 7th graders. No I haven't, they're about the same

Noel did have a point in the first place. Anybody else think if the music thing doesn't work out for Noel he will have a good career working for Pitchfork? Or maybe he can start his own music blog.

I find it ironic that Gallagher is slagging Ronson for "ruining" covers when Oasis has made a living by bastardizing Beatles songs.

Am I missing something or do the Beatles and Oasis actually don't sound alike at all?! I mean, I'm a fan of both and really, I can't think of one Oasis song that copies one from the Beatles...

I dunno it's just weird to me that Oasis get so much flak for "copying" the Beatles when there are so many bands that sound WAY more like them. Is it just because they have similar haircuts and that Noel & Liam are proclaimed Beatles fanatics?

I mean yeah, maybe the riff from "Supersonic" is lifted from George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord", the small piano intro from "Don't Look Back in Anger" use the chords from John Lennon's "Imagine" and "Whatever" uses strings (wow?) but I mean... you got "more repected" bands like Radiohead writing songs like "Karma Police" which is basically like the same song as "Sexy Sadie" if you listen carefully and yet they get away with it...

Agreed, I've never gotten all the comparisons. I think they sound more like the Smiths than they do the Beatles.
