New Wilco LP's Got Feist, "Wilco (The Song)" The followup to 2007's soothing Sky Blue Sky is out in late June on Nonesuch. In addition to Lolla-fav "One Wing," it's got "You And I" (featuring Feist) and "Wilco (The Song)." Spy more working titles at Wilcoworld with the caveat that the list "is not necessarily complete and not in sequence," but "other details will emerge in the coming weeks."

That's awesome news. I hope this record is a return to form, not that SBS was terrible, but it wasn't nearly as good as the absolutely brilliant YHF and Ghost Is Born records.

That's a cool appearance by Feist, but as long as Nels Cline is on the record (and Jay Bennett isn't), I'm setting my expectations low given how disappointing a ghost is born and sky blue sky were.

With all due respect, Nels is a more valuable member of Wilco than Jay Bennett. Jay had some great contributions, but I think Wilco is better off having Jeff solely at the helm and having Nels and his brilliance on guitar.

The albums with Jay are my favorite(Summerteeth...) but I really enjoy Sky Blue Sky. The last half of the album does tend to drag though.

Who wants to bet that the new record is called "Wilco (The Album)"?

With a lot of reviews of the DVD saying how it appears to show them getting into their peak as a performing group, I am hopeful that it shows on the new record.

Personally I think Cline's playing seemed to dominate SBS(for good or bad), almost as it was Wilco featuring Nels Cline. So I'm hoping this album Cline's style will blend into the overall sound of the record more, as he has now been with the band longer.

My thoughts exactly (though really, Nels' playing on SBS wasn't that great).

hopefully this'll be good. although I don't have very high expectations, given that Wilco (the Song) and Sonny Feeling aren't even as good as half the tracks on SBS.
