Will Chinese Democracy Come Out In 2006?

Axl Rose talks to New York mag about GN'R's next album, which has been delayed for 34 years.

"It's about being maybe smart enough to go, 'No, that's a bad idea.' That's all it's about -- keeping the ability to at least have a shot as opposed to something that's just and obvious disaster. I want to make a good record. I don't want to throw a brick. This cannot be Shaq at the free-throw line."
He promises the album will be released this year. Really. It will.

Will it?

He's hardly a nice fella is he?

I cannot be more blasé about this album release. Pardon me for considering this, but I don't think he has it in him anymore.

I believe this hard-hitting in-depth investigation I recently launched sums up what's been delaying Chinese Democracy pretty well (and it does it with the pretty pictures too)

Frankly, I think he might succeed if he does those Axl-y ballads. His hard rockers will probably suck though. I could use another November Rain or Estranged nowadays.
