Willie Nelson's Stash

As you probably read, after his triumphant headlining set at ACL, Willie Nelson and his band hit the road. With a pound and a half of marijuana and three ounces of shrooms. Now, the blog Blooming Ideas has the photo of Willie Nelson's stash (link via TSG). Impressed? Rob Thomas takes credit. From Blender July '05:

What's Willie Nelson's "supply" like?
ROB THOMAS: It's good, but I set him up with even better. I set him up with a great L.A. connection, this guy who also makes heavy, Satanic, dark-prince music. So I got a call once from Willie saying he needed to know how to get the number for that "devil weed."
So at least Willie knows where to get more.

I love Willie for being such a cool old guy but I am really mad at him for getting busted. He should know he is a target for cops.

Rob Thomas obviously made a deal with the devil to get his musical career. It figures he'd get his weed the same way.

I remember Celtics center Robert Parish getting busted with 1/2 pound and it was a misdemenour as well, so don't start that racisit crap.
Parish at the time was doing "say no to drugs" commercials! At least Willie is truthfull about his use, you know he is not dealing it so no big deal.

Rob Thomas is our generation's Neil Diamond. You should hate, but it's frighteningly good songcraft -- sooo cheesy, sooo damn catchy. You know you sing along. Don't deny. He'll be canonized in 30 years or so, when it's finally ok to admit it.

It wasn't Willie's fault! He was set up by Toby Keith...

Hey, do you guys realize that Hank Williams Jr outed willie and his stash on his bus?
Well Hank Jr. was on "Imas In The Morning" on Thursday or Friday
(Sept 14th or 15th) before Willie got busted and told Imas about being on Willie's bus and what goes on!
So the Cop knew about Willie smoking on the bus before he stopped the Bus..
It was a Right Wing Hit just like all progressive celebrities that are being busted and investigated for political purposes and to silence any decent of the Bush Administration.
Hope This Helps,
