Wolf Parade's At Mount Zoomer Is Streaming At Myspace

thubmnail icon: Wolf Parade's At Mount Zoomer Is Streaming At Myspace

Wolf Parade's At Mount Zoomer, the excellent follow up to Apologies To The Queen Mary, is out on Sub Pop in just a couple of days (6/17). We've posted "Call It A Ritual" and given you the map to "Language City," but if you haven't had a chance to listen to all nine tracks yet, the whole album's streaming at the band's MySpace, "Kissing The Beehive" broken into two convenient sections. Also, the Zoomer cover art and that promo photo of the guys split into four colorful squares have both been floating around, but a new WP picture went up on MySpace today. There it is above these sentences. Click to see it in its larger form and try to name all the albums on the wall. Or at least the ones that aren't too cropped.

The record is wonderful. But I'm off to shoot myself in the skull because the only one I can identify is "Singles Going Steady".

The album definitely doesn't give you an in-your-face impact like Queen Mary did, but hey its a grower!

Goddamn, Spencer Krug is hot. Hot as lava. In my pants. Marry me? Also, I thought there were five people in the band? Why are there always only four members in the press shots?

I'm pretty sure there are only four members in the studio band. They may have someone else for live shows, though.

I just purchased ABBA's complete studio recordings. There is not a song in the 160 something tunes that reaches the level of awful that Spencer has stooped to on this album. I tried liking this for several plays, and just nothing would stick in my head-- worse than "The Nightmare Before Xmas" tunes.

Naaah, have you heard "California Dreamer?" That one is a gem, positively up there behind "Kissing the Beehive." To each his own, I suppose. Also, Wikipedia tells me there're 5 members and with my skills, I have deduced "Dante" is missing. He was the last one to be added so... I don't know.

The blue album with the king and queen cards in the top left is none other than Otis Redding and Carla Thomas's "King and Queen" album. Only one I know.

the 5th member is dante decarco. maybe he wasn't available when they did the press shots or just didn't want to be in them...there are 3 other brand new press shotos as well as that one above: http://wolfparade.nonstuff.com/2008/06/14/promo/
