Wrestler, Slumdog Win Musical Golden Globes

Even though Golden Globes are a joke, a trophy from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is generally believed to increase a film's Oscar prospects. So you should know that the musical winners at last night's awards were A.R. Rahman for his Slumdog Millionaire score and Bruce Springsteen for "The Wrestler." (Last time Springsteen won a Golden Globe, for "Streets Of Philadelphia" in '94, he went on to win the Oscar.) In his acceptance speech, Best Actor Mickey Rourke thanked his dead dogs and Axl Rose. He did not call out his least favorite blog commenters, unlike Tina Fey.

Mickey Rourke was great in The Wrestler, maybe too good... i guess that's why he deserves the Golden Globe
