You Are a Runner and I Am a Ferguson

Prefix has video of Wolf Parade's performance (of "This Heart's on Fire") on the Late Late Show, which you guys should like more than CYHSY's much-hated turn on Conan. Tonight, they've got Iron & Wine, with Calexico, so set your TiVos. I mean, they call 'em "Iron, Wine & Calexico", but at least they're trying. (via Vegan)

i've caught the Late Late show and it's really not bad. anyone know if they do a lot of indie performances?

I loved their album, but CYHSY really can't live down their reputation for sucking live. My friend Ellen and I agreed; we clapped our hands, but we didn't say yeah. (Corny, right?)

Come on, Alec. You need to learn how to bring it, and maybe learn how to sing a little while you're at it. Sorry dude, but not even all the character in the world could pull you a wider audience.

Still, I've heard worse...

Spencer Krug, however, was my favorite new vocalist in 2005 (excluding Sunset Rubdown).

Oh wait, which song did they play? I can't view that because I'm a school right now.

That makes sense. I guess Boeckner's songs are better suited for TV. But that late at night, I don't think anyone cares about accessibility. Half of the people who saw that performance probably fell asleep with the TV on or were just tuning in to see Wolf Parade.

Oh, and is it just me or does anyone else think that Dan Boeckner sounds just like Jeff Tweedy?

Did anyone else notice how fast they played this live compared to on the record? Nerves? or just one of those bands that always plows through songs live...

I saw them on wednesday in san francisco. They plowed through the songs live then too. I couldn't believe how fast they went through their set. Maybe a tad over an hour?

They played so fast it made my head spin. There were a couple of new tracks that were great, though.

The Late Late Show has had some decent bands on in the last few months. My Morning Jacket was on and ripped "Gideon." There is a link somewhere within their community board.

Thanks for the linkage Stereogum. The band definitely seems to speed it up during their live sets. I like it. I wish they played "Fancy Claps", but this performance was still real good.

Am I the only one (or at least the only gay) who just watched I&W|C on Craig and thought that Sam Beam would be totally fucking hot without the beard. I'm a little tipsy, but it seemed like they sped of History of Lovers just a little, and it sounded great. Now I have it on fucking repeat on my iPod.
