I likewise would be happy with a list of all from You & Me. This list somewhat reflects my own, but I’d swap your Lisbon and Heaven songs for “While I Shovel the Snow,” “Lisbon,” and “Line by Line.”

Shugo Tokumaru – In Focus (1/29)
Willy Mason – Carry On
Lady Lamb the Beekeeper – Ripely Pine (2/19)

As others have said, I’m looking forward to Foals, and desperately hoping for a new album from the National.

It’s “No Widows” not “No Windows.” Though the concept of “No Windows” is actually quite frightening.

They weren’t. Knopf wrote and played on Mines–and toured for the bulk of the Mines tour.

These sound awesome. Really excited about this. And I totally agree on “criminally underrated.” “Please Visit Your National Parks” was such a jam–and one of my favorite music videos from that period: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IVUNZkN_vc

So he’s no longer a fan of the National? But “Mr. November” was his jam! So confused.

So true. Love those guys. Love them live, too.

They posted on facebook a few months back that they were almost done the new record. That’s about all I got!

Yea, Local Natives were supposedly recording back in the Fall. After their little tour with the National, they said they were going back to writing (via twitter). They also posted photos over the summer of the place they were recording.

I find it a little hard to believe that Fleet Foxes would diss the Walkmen, considering how they sang their praises via twitter and interviews throughout that whole tour, but OK…

Went Brent left Menomena a year ago, he said it was, in part, to focus on Ramona Falls. Back in September, on twitter, he said he was 70% done tracking the new album (though I guess that could refer to another artist’s album he might be working on, but I doubt it). He’s also made references to working on the second LP (on twitter), but nothing specific.

Can I make one final plea for Sharon VanEtten (2/7 via Jagjaguwar)? It’s produced by Aaron Dessner! Everyone loves her (the National, Bon Iver, the Antlers, stereogum readers)!

Laura Gibson – La Grande (1/24, via Barsuk)
speaking of Barsuk, Ramona Falls likely. Maybe even Menomena (they at least said they’re writing stuff).

Evangelicals, too (Dead Oceans, I assume).

Sharon Van Etten – Tramp, Jagjaguwar, 2/7
The Walkmen – March or April
Fiona Apple

These are, hands down, my most anticipated.

Love these! Though Berninger’s got some sort of weird accent thing going on in “I Need My Girl.” Like Springsteen or something.

Yea, I likewise saw this a couple months ago on IMDb. And sorry to be way fangirl here, but there’s also a Sufjan playing arcade games scene in the Danielson movie. It’s actually a really weird scene, because they play his live performance of “To Be Alone With You” over Daniel and he playing together, and there are some (perhaps tongue-in-cheek?) homoerotic undertones.
