The triangle just puts it over the top, this is pretty blatant.

Swan Dive, Dixie Cups and Jars, and Misery Over Dispute are my favorites but the whole album is awesome. Anyone who is a fan of Waxahatchee should check out Hop Along and Torres, both released great albums in the last year.

I was hoping you’d do this Phoenix’s Bankrupt first but I did enjoy this album.

“When Winter’s Over” by Torres just because you guys have ignored that whole album and it rocks.

Kimmel gets paid to make fun of celebrities.

Should have been one of the 50 most anticipated albums of 2013.

Not enough indie acts especially in smaller fonts. They nailed some obvious but there is a ton of misses. Sound City Players headlning? Goldenvoice isn’t that clueless and where is Beach House?

Worst David Bowie song > best Iceage song

No one listens to music ironically. Grow up, Peter Pan.

Struggling artists aren’t making a lot of money from their art? This seems to be the case throughout all of history minus the last 50 years.

Tom sure made this article cute and cuddly after his xenophobia shown through the against me article. Also anyone sticking up for Tylers homophobic comments by claiming ignorance or using the protection of art is just wrong. He knew what he was saying was hateful and he’s just as bad as religious nut. Good for Frank though I’m sure he won’t face much negativity considering he’s friends with the musicians most likely to use homosexuality as a jab.

I’m 25 and have been downloading music illegally since I was 12. I buy albums out of support when I really love a band or they’re fairly small but usually it takes incentives like art work or limited editions to get me to pull the trigger and even that’s pretty rare. I do feel bad for the artists especially when I think about how people I admire like Victoria Legrand, Jeff Tweedy, Win Butler, Justin Vernon and Robin Pecknold deserve to be Led Zeppelin or NSYNC rich but I justify all the music I download mainly because I could never afford anything near the 100 albums from 2011 that I downloaded last year. I’m a college student with a shitty job and most of my money goes towards whiskey and (when I’m flush) musical instruments. The truth is I don’t have a lot of sympathy for artists who still make awesome amounts of money and even less for the record companies who haven’t figured out how to fix a broken system.I think of my generation as the first to grow up on illegally downloaded music but even before then the first piece of music I ever owned was a cassette of Paul’s Boutique by the Beastie Boys that I stole from Warehouse Music.

If a “recommendation of “listen to the music and shut up” = you’re likely a homeless sex offender” then not listening to an artists music because of perceived fakeness of the comments supporting her makes you a hipster piece of trash.

I post here all the time and I am a fan of hers, if the possibility that most of these posts are fake bothers you then you’re failing at life. Listen to the music, if you like it then move on if not then move on.

She posted something on her facebook encouraging us to comment on this article so it would be one of the most commented. They’re just fans showing support.

I was hoping for both The Antlers and White Denim on the coachella lineup but take away them and the Beach Boys and I’m left with either bands I will see this year at Coachella: Radiohead, Bon Iver, The Shins, St. Vincent, Tune-Yards and Feist or bands I skipped last year: Foster the People, Two Door Cinema Club, Skrillex, Flogging Molly, The Joy Formidable, and Phantogram.

Jesus Christ the word retarded is not offensive, It means delayed in terms of your actual age vs mental age. It’s an actual medical term in use in the DSM-IV. Go watch another Jane Lynch commercial you sheep who have no idea the actual definitions or etymology of words.

I stopped taking that list seriously when I saw Rob Dyrdek. And Dahntay Jones? Dahntay Jones doesn’t even own a Dahntay Jones jersey.

Real Estate or First Aid Kit

 +1Posted on Jan 9th, 2012 | re: Coachella 2012 Lineup (183 comments)

theres greyhound in indio usually greyhound offers special coachella fares on that week so you might have to book early. I know someone who spent under 50 bucks for a round fare from LA to Indio and back again but that was a couple years ago.

 +1Posted on Jan 9th, 2012 | re: Coachella 2012 Lineup (183 comments)

There also seems to be 15 or so less bands so maybe they add another band or two.

 +2Posted on Jan 9th, 2012 | re: Coachella 2012 Lineup (183 comments)

I’m stoked and would be going no matter what since I already bought the ticket but I seem to be the only one who is a little underwhelmed by the lineup. Sunday seems to lack sub-headliners I’m personally excited to see besides Beirut. Plus I can already see a scheduling conflict where I miss out on one of Real Estate, Metronomy, First Aid Kit or Wild Beasts. I’m also a huge Black Keys but everyone who has been to Coachella has most likely seen them. This will be my 4th time seeing them there, I guess I just expected more since they have tickets being sold for two weekends now. No matter what Its worth the total price for just the camping on site and one day of the music.
