Just so everyone knows The Music was amazing. One of the best bands ever gone largely unnoticed and unappreciated. Check out their songs “Take the Long Road and Walk It”, “Getaway”, “Welcome to the North” and “The Spike”.

Pretentious hipster drivel. What the fuck is wrong with people?

I fucking hate this band. I want all hipsters to DIE.

This is a good song. Stop being contrived hipster snobs and try to enjoy SOME mainstream music.

Everybody wants something they’ll never give up!

I’m one of the people that actually loved Evil Urges. It’s their most accessible, enjoyable album to date. It might not flow together as well as the others, but its the meatiest of their collections. Circuital might actually disappoint those who were initially turned on by EU, though. It sounds more like Z than its predecessor. I don’t think I’ll end up liking it as much as Z or even Evil Urges, but its definitely a great album and Victory Dance is absolutely amazing. Haunting even, which is not the word that comes to mind when i think of MMJ.

this is a good album to get stoned to and sit outside in a lawn chair while you watch the sun rise. Having that said, I feel like this should be a one off affair for TVOTR. For the next album, they need to include some head banging jamz like Wolf Like Me and DLZ.

I like the song but I can’t help but feel as though they should pack it in. Their songs just keep on getting more and more repetitive….adding nothing new to the table.

Quite excited.

i know you guys like your cutsie little indie bands and all, but a band called The Music should have made this list.

I think their time to shine is up. Unless they make everybodys jaw drop with a HUGE SURPRISE RECORD OF AMAZING PROPORTIONS I don’t think anybody is going to really care anymore. They were the fresh “it” band almost 10 years ago and now there are plenty of fresh “it” bands that are getting all the buzz and recognition. Its not hip enough to love the Strokes anymore. But hey, they are still pretty relevant and I gotta say I don’t think Best Coast will be in 2020.

Corgan is one of the biggest douchebags I’ve ever witnessed. Having said that, I find Pavement to be loose, sloppy indie dribble that I really can’t get into nor can I understand how they are regarded as such Gods. I guess my opinion is biased, but I’d rather give Billy a chance on the new “Pumpkins” material rather than sit through an entire Pavement set, old songs or new.

He fucks up a lot of the lyrics. Not the lyrics exactly but the order in that they’re sung. It’s decent though.

Can someone please tell me why Pavement is so cherished among listeners? To me its just ordinary
“indie” stuff that isn’t all that BAD but isn’t very good or engaging either.

+2Posted on Sep 17th, 2010 | re: Kings Of Leon Need Separate Toilets (23 comments)

to Kate: That’s just stupid. Nickelback makes the most bland, generic hick-mom rock ever known to man. Kings of Leons last album might have knocked on the DOOR of blandness, but still it came nowhere NEAR the level of shit that Nickelback is. Shame on you. Kings of Leon used to be a really good band but somewhere along the line they kinda sold out. Doesn’t mean they are Nickelback. Because Nickelback has ALWAYS made awful, awful music that caters to dumb people with no taste. There aren’t any hipsters that like them…but there are (were?) plenty of them that loved KOL. Caleb has a gift: his voice is one of the most original and powerful things in music today and while their behavior as of late is inexcusable, I have to defend them if anyone even dares compare them to drab alternative country.

Ok well once you guys that think KOL suck get your heads out of your asses and stop thinking Kanye West and Best Coast are amazing artists you let me know.

+1Posted on Sep 13th, 2010 | re: Kings Of Leon - "Radioactive" Video (68 comments)

“This whole “don’t over analyze it” mentality is responsible for the prevalence of dumb shit like this.

Dear everybody, please continue to over analyze and don’t settle for boring music.”

Don’t be a complete jackass. I’ve been a KOL fan since Aha Shake Heartbreak, when their music was CERTAINLY not boring. I also like an extremely eclectic variety of bands that in no way are mainstream or “boring”. If people like new Kings of Leon, good for them. Don’t act like its the end of the world. Sorry but i’d rather listen to a mediocre rock song like this instead of a pretentious repetitive Animal Collective loop that goes on for 7 minutes. Call me crazy.

You guys are being way too hard on it. Don’t over analyze it. Its just Kings of Leon. I knew the second I saw this video that it would give the people who already hated them a huge reason to rip on them even further. Sure, the video is corny, but the song is powerful and damn catchy. They have talent. Admit it.

I knew were were in for some bullshit the second Alicia Keys popped up on the screen.

 0Posted on Aug 23rd, 2010 | re: Interpol - Interpol Premature Evaluation (29 comments)

I thought it was very weak at first, but now I find it to be very GOOD. Not great, but good. Its certainly more consistent than their last record. It does tend to lose my interest by the end though…

 -2Posted on Aug 12th, 2010 | re: Who Should Headline Coachella 2011? (106 comments)

I’m telling you, ELECTRIC SIX. They will rock all the hipsters socks right off. We need more non pretentious comedy dance rock…im sick of all the conceited boys in skinny jeans playing music that sounds the SAME as all the other shit out there.

 -1Posted on Aug 12th, 2010 | re: Tegan & Sara - "Northshore" Video (3 comments)

Mediocre music from a couple of women = not big. Mediocre music from a pair of twin lesbians = popular.

Good LORD this is crap. Just crap. He always WAS crap. His songs aren’t even catchy….honestly I’d rather listen to a fucking Justin Bieber song that this arrogant assholes music.

ELECTRIC SIX

Electric Six is the best band playing.
