Personally, I don’t think they should have used the Cannibal Ox name without EL-P. But that’s because The Cold Vein is my favorite rap album of all time, and these three songs do nothing for me.
I ate mushrooms in that very spot on the cover. Minus the naked chick and artifacts.

If Ween makes an album, it’s as equally a Ween album as any Ween album. If you don’t know that, you don’t know Ween, or Ween albums.
Are you sure this is going to be on their forthcoming LP? I thought this was just the A-side to their new tour-only 7 inch.

Ya, the new Tame Album is, in my opinion, the best new album since the last Tame Impala album. I was more stoked for the new grizzly bear all year, and as much as I love the new album, the Lonerism takes the cake
I’m not sure how nobody is talking about Jessica Dobson’s (now guitarist for the shins) new album as Deep Sea Diver. Her first EP was great and she just released a new album a little over a week ago that’s bloody well fantastic. Dare I say better then the new shins album which I have yet to hear as it is not released as of this date.

I highly recommend buying their first album. Twas my favorite of 2009. and as of 2 days ago, their new album is my favorite of 2011 thus far.

My point was you are violently ripping people apart when they say they like it, and your coming to bullshit conclusions for them, claiming that since you hate it, there is no possible way that anyone can get something positive from it. Quite pretentious.
If you can’t realize that music is subjective and that the most beautiful thing about music is the fact that we all get different feelings and experiences from different sounds, well then you don’t understand music. Speaking of steps in the wrong directions, the EP was not a follow up to the S/T LP, it came out 6 months or so before. And I assure you, this entire new album is ridiculously solid from front to back. My fav of the year so far.

Maybe it was my giant exceptions, but after 4 listens it’s still not doing much for me. Which is a first for me and Radiohead. But I’m not giving up yet.
I find it funny how nobody wants to talk about this album. As a fan of ALL lips albums, I gota say I don’t like this one very much. I think maybe a lot of people don’t want to admit that.
