It’s absurd to demand that “each track (be) as good as the previous one” on a strong album. OK Computer’s “Electioneering” is no “Karma Police,” but it’s hard to imagine your criticism being applied to that album. You can’t backhandedly quantify the musical validity of individual songs as if it were some sort of mathematical process. Is really that crazy to think that someone could like “Daily Routine” just as much as “My Girls?”
