What’s niggling is, that there are no outright bangers– Instead of a mad rave, we have mid tempo shuffles, 70s Studio 54 disco arrangements and Disney moments via Paul Williams. While it is not a bad album, why do I keep getting visions of bell bottoms and roller skates? Why is something new so instantly nostalgic?
We need poop scoop.
Nah.
It’s not Wayne’s dick. There are 2 rooms in the video. Why do I have to explain this?
Love MMJ. Feel disinclined to put them in any order, but definitely got more interesting for me when they let their “freak flag” fly.
They are not Foo Fighters
Time we had male nudity in music clips.
Thanks Joop. I did enjoy that
They’ve always sounded very much like The Cars to me with song structure and synths. This album less so.
Wow. More queens (Pun intended).
^^ this person is ageist.
About time Yorke & co. (whoever present co. may be) took another quantum leap. They’ve been on the glitchy electronic train too long. While it’s all sonically “clever-clever”, there is a foreboding sense of cold detachment. I would love to feel the warmth and passion the best music evokes in me.
Feels like they have dumbed down their sound and upped the “pop” factor to achieve lowest common denominator acceptance. Selling out is what some people call it.
Whilst I really enjoyed Sigh No More,Babel sounds undercooked and samey. Can only take so much fast banjo before it sounds monotonous.
US only? Damn.
… Reminds me of Kenny Loggins). Seems I’m about the only one who enjoyed Kiss Each Other Clean. Hopefully the new album won’t entirely be tracks of jazz improv.
Love Sam Beam’s vocals (somewhat
In reply to donnytilla’s post up top (Reply button’s strangely missing after logging in) – I believe a person’s musical taste is highly subjective; often informed by one’s cultural background, age and life experiences. I will absolutely jump out of my skin should I find another with identical taste in music. I’ll always treasure the obscure “personal finds” that may not be widely known/appreciated, yet I can also understand the vindication of having my favourites mentioned come the year end’s best-of lists. So, don’t feel so alone, donnytilla, your ears and taste are uniquely yours and be proud of what you like.

Why do people still get caught up in publicity stunts? Strangely, part of the vocals remind me of Detroit Grand Pubahs. Sandwiches, anyone?
Funny how little love there is for Heady Fwends (My #2 of 2012). Looking forward to this.
Big Radiohead fan here, but I do wish they’d get over their IDM leanings and give us more rock. Thom has a beautiful & emotive voice which should not be drowned in glitch… IMHO
Such a beautiful voice. Should be recorded raw instead of buried or marred by electronics.
Was a total gentleman when I met him.
