Nada surf is my favorite band, but I do feel this song is a bit lacking and bland. I love when i was young, and i feel the progression is in the right direction, and back to a more proximity effect/high low sound.
I like to think of nada surf as a lifetime journey and they really do put their lives into their songs, and how having kids changes things. How you can pine for the past and be fine with present at the same time.
