Contact does have a certain charm :)))
totally agree
Motherboard is pretty damn good btw.
Regardless what’s the album like, these guys proved that people really don’t have their own taste in music. I’m pretty fuckin sure that the girl/boy who was listening to Gangnam style a few month ago, right now has Get Lucky on repeat. I like the album it is not as good as much it was hyped, but I like it. Anyhow what I admire is Daft Punk’s marketing team, they managed to sell an album that could have came out 15 years ago as well.
I absolutely agree with you, I love music but usually hate album reviews, they either try to be wittier than they actually are or just disgustingly cynical.
Heavenfaced is fuckin beautiful, those gentle chords really got to me… :D
I had slow show in my mind, the nature of love and the emotions that the song convey are quite similar.
same here. is it just me or This Is The Last Time is catchy as fuck?
As fantastic is this year so far when it comes to albums and as much as I am a massive National fan, Rhye’s album just blew me away… and I don’t think anything can top that :), had the same feeling about Michael Kiwanuka last year(or one before?), anyhow great album, a bit more hopeful then high violet.
Michael Kiwanuka????
my fav song from the album, true story… It has a great hook, it’s sarcastic and loveable at the same time, so yes I’m looking at you straight in the eyes and it is a great song.
p.s.:I believe a garage rock cover could do justice for it
Januar, exam-period, studying, listening to the new Leonard Cohen album. yay
Lou Reed – New York (what else?)
No idea :)
Yeah it’s a rip off but not the same: the bass line has a slightly different melody.

I guess people misunderstood my l comment (all the thumbs down), I think the album is pretty good, there are few songs that I’m really diggin’ (Giorgio, Contact etc.) , just wanted to point it out that this is not a mainstream album, they still managed to sell it pretty well.
@oblivion: by taste I mean that they don’t really decide what they are listening to but trends and radio charts do it instead of them.
