Find Me On:
That’s not the title track, It’s “Look… The Sun is Rising”. And it was a really great performance.
Devestating? Maybe. Terrible? Certainly not. I can’t wait to finally hear it in decent quality.
I hate to be a know-it-all, but it’s the bile filled Idiot Wind that he supposedly sung upon seeing his ex-wife on Hard Rain. And what a version of Idiot Wind it is, too!
“Bob outdoes Tom Waits at his own game on some of these tracks” As if I wasn’t excited enough. I can’t wait to go into the Tempest pop-up store in London on Monday, come home and spin the record. It’s taking a LOT of restraint to not listen, especially after hearing Scarlet Town already.
This is quite obviously a PR stunt, Wayne’s said so: “Just tell your fans you playing” and”She’s a great media manipulator!! I love her!!”. Although a PR stunt which makes no sense after Erykah Badu’s initial tweet to Wayne of “it looks beautiful. Nayrok (lil sis) looks amazing. U are a tru visionary .. My fav is the glitter.”
They set out to create a controversial video that everyone is talking about. Well done, guys!
if a kind American knight in shining armour would like to buy me one of these on Saturday I’d be most grateful. I don’t think they’ll be able to get them to the UK in time.
Stupid self production and self distribution of everything.
So Stereogum is where all the sane people are! This new music is just so… uninteresting.
No, they were so much better live without bass and keys. The Black Keys at the Astoria in London 2008 is one of the best gigs I’ve been to, The Black Keys at the Roundhouse in 2010 was one of the worst (but mainly due to the horrible crowd, but also no bass please.)
Dirty Three! And maybe Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds but that’s nothing official…
I thought this was old news? He said they were going to break up at the end of their I’ll Be Your Mirror set back in July. Hopefully it means a return to the Bad Seeds before long!
Stack Shot Billy, definitely
This is a damn good one. I love his falsetto on Talking at the Same Time and Kiss Me is absolutely brilliant. Good ol’ Tom, he doesn’t know how to disappoint.
Instant Karma! For sure.
haha, I was about to post meh, then I realised I’d been beaten. Also this track is sung entirely by Alison, so I’m confused by the tweet that led me here…
