I’m not so sure about this one… I thought something was going to happen with that stage set-up.
this is fantastic
definitely better than the original!
also, this one’s much better quality
Hooray!
Great to see the Invisible Hand on Stereogum!
SWEEET!!
Since when did yellow and green combined make brown?
No love for Boards of Canada? Rumor has it they’ve got one in the works.
“This is apparently a real thing” “Good for her? I guess?”
I’m pretty disappointed by the tone of this article. I’m very appreciative of Mr/Mrs Gabel’s courage. Sometime in the future, this will be as prevalent as the current gay-rights issue and the historic women’s rights issue.
really digging this track. excited for Clear Moon. is this supposed to be on it?
missing:
The Tallest Man on Earth – There’s No Leaving Now
Maps & Atlases – Beware and Be Grateful
excited to see Carla Azar of Autolux drumming in the first song. I wonder how she got that job.
Alpinisms was pretty good but Ben should really just go back to Secret Machines. they’re hurting without him.
i wish they still played Sheena is a Parasite
such a great song.
was MGMT’s ‘kids’ not the summer song of 08?
i’m also glad this version of premature evaluation is back. it seemed a little contradictory calling it ‘premature’ and then giving it a score. this review has just made me so much more excited for this.
the review seems awful positive for a 3-star review. at the moment i’m somewhere around 7/10 on this album. its missing a lot of the craziness of their older stuff but is still thoroughly enjoyable. it also gets a bit samey at times.
the one thing i never thought i’d hear honus honus say is that he wanted to reign in the chaos.
certainly Wolf Parade’s Apologies to the Queen Mary

this is clearly a match made in heaven
